Representative Jamie Ison was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives in November, 2002.
She and her husband, M. Harland Ison, Jr., are the parents of two sons, Philip and Wyatt, and is a member of All Saints Episcopal Church.
Representative Ison received her B.A. in Speech Pathology and Master of Communicative Disorders from the University of Mississippi.
Representative Ison currently serves on the board of the Alabama Department of Senior Services. She
served as the Regional Director for the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind until 2003. Additionally, she served on the Board of Directors for Leadership Mobile, Habitat for Humanity and the Mobile Advisory Commission for the Disabled.
She remains active as an alumnus of Leadership Alabama.
Representative Ison is a past president and current member of the Mobile Sunrise Rotary Club.
