Establishing the Alabama Blacksmith Museum and providing for the supervision, control, and location of the museum.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
Section 1. There is created the Alabama Blacksmith Museum to showcase various historical periods in the art and craft of blacksmithing. The museum shall be permanently located at the Iron and Steel Museum of Alabama at Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, where it shall maintain buildings, exhibits, and equipment suitable and appropriate for conducting its affairs.
Section 2. The Alabama Blacksmith Museum shall be under the supervision and control of the Alabama Historic Ironworks Commission and shall be curated jointly by the Alabama Forge Council and the park administrator of the Alabama Historic Ironworks Commission, a state agency.
Section 3. The museum shall be subject to all laws, rules, or regulations that are applicable to supervision and control of Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park including the referenced commission's discretion.
Section 4. This act shall become effective on the first day of the third month following its passage and approval by the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
