SYNOPSIS:Under existing law, the hunting season for hunting deer with dogs is established by regulation of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
 This bill would provide for the number of days the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources would fix as the hunting season for deer with dogs.

A BILL
TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT

To establish the number of days for hunting deer with dogs; and to repeal any law, rule, or regulation in conflict with this act.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:

Section 1. (a) Any law, rule, or regulation to the contrary notwithstanding, the number of days for hunting deer with dogs is established to be fifty-seven (57) calendar days.

(b) The calendar days which will constitute the hunting season for hunting deer with dogs shall be established by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources in accordance with the laws of this state.

Section 2. Any law, rule, or regulation in conflict with this act is hereby repealed, except in counties where dog deer hunting has been legally closed.

Section 3. This act shall become effective immediately upon is passage and approval by the Governor, or upon its otherwise becoming a law.
