REPRESENTATIVE Tammy Irons was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives in a special election held on March 21, 2006.
She received her B.S. in accounting from the University of North Alabama and her law degree from the University of Memphis. After law school, Representative Irons served as a judicial law clerk for the Tennessee Court of Appeals.
She is a business attorney and owns the Irons Law Firm.
Representative Irons has served as a member of various boards including the Shoals Entrepreneurial Center, Shoals Economic Development Authority, SafePlace, Inc., and the Boys and Girls Clubs.
She is past-president of the Lauderdale County Bar Association and a member of the President's Cabinet at the University of North Alabama.
Representative Irons is a member of the Sherrod Avenue Church of Christ. She is married to Curley Hallman.
