Representative Blaine Galliher was elected in 1994. He was born on January 13, 1949 and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Technology from Jacksonville State University. He is the father of two children, Terry and Charlie. Representative Galliher is a member of Crosspoint Baptist Church and currently serves as Director of Business and Industry Training for Calhoun County at Gadsden State Community College. Representative Galliher served in the U.S. Army from 1968 - 1971. He is a member of the Board of Directors for both the Clark Smeltzer Adult Education Center and the Talladega Motor Sports Hall of Fame. Additionally, Representative Galliher is a member of the Gadsden Etowah Chamber of Commerce and the Rainbow City Lions Club. He is also an advisory board member for the C.I.T.Y. Program of Etowah County.
