Representative Darrio Melton was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives on November 2, 2010.
He holds a B.S. degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Master of Divinity from Emory University in Atlanta.
Additionally, he is a graduate of Leadership Selma-Dallas County.
Representative Melton is married to Christi Amory Melton and has one son, Darrio Melton II, and one daughter Kinslee Joi.
He is a member of Tabernacle of Praise Church.
