Representative Betty Carol Graham is serving her fourth term in the Alabama House of Representative.
She holds degrees from Jacksonville State University, the University of Montevallo, from Auburn University and from the University of West Alabama.
She and her husband, Joel, are the parents of a son, Jeffery and the proud grandparents of two grandsons, Joshua and Jackson.
Representative Graham is currently retired from education. She served as a high school teacher, State President of the Alabama Education Association and Vice President of Central Alabama Community College.
She is serving her third term as an elected member of the powerful Legislative Council. She serves as a member of the Education Finance Committee where she is chair of Taxes and Exemptions Subcommittee.
Representative Graham serves on the National Energy Council, the National Council of State Legislators and is the designee to represent the Speaker and the House on the Southern Legislative Conference.
She also serves on the State Banking and Insurance Committee and is a member of the Joint Budget Committee. Representative Graham serves on the Joint Energy Policy Committee and is very proud to serve on the Committee for Children in State Care.
In addition to her legislative responsibilities, she is an active member of the Cattlemen and Cattlewomen Association, local Chamber of Commerce and Rocky Creek Baptist Church
