Representative Mac Gipson is a graduate of Starke University Military School and attended Troy (State) University.
A U.S. Army veteran, Representative Gipson is the retired CEO of Gipson's Auto Tire in Prattville and Millbrook. He is a member of First United Methodist Church in Prattville, American Legion Post 122, Autauga Cattlemans Association, Past President of the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce, Alabama Tire Dealers Association and Vice President of the Children's First Board.
Representative Gipson and his wife, Mary Lee, are the parent's of four children: Mary Emerson Lowry, H.M. (Hoot) Gipson III, Robert A. Gipson, and Jo Ella Gipson.
