COMMENDING MS. MARTHA CATO OF VALLEY, ALABAMA, AS THE 2004 ALABAMA EXPO BEAUTY QUEEN.
WHEREAS, it is with great pride and pleasure that we recognize that Ms. Martha Cato of Valley, Alabama, who was named the 2004 Alabama Expo Beauty Queen; and
WHEREAS, in 2000, Ms. Cato was awarded the prestigious 2000 Alabama Clerk of the Year Award, the highest honor bestowed upon municipal clerks in the State of Alabama, for her extraordinary ability and seemingly unlimited capacity for work through her diligence and devotion to those she has served during her distinguished tenure with the City of Valley; and
WHEREAS, she was instrumental in the City of Valley purchasing the Langdale Mill and, over the years, carried out her many duties and responsibilities in a highly efficient manner, solved problems, offered help and moral support as a daily way of life, and has a special love and place in her heart for her many coworkers and friends; and
WHEREAS, during the 2004 Alabama Lifestyles Expo more than 2,000 attendees were happily photographed with the 2004 Expo Beauty Queen, Martha Cato, whose accomplishments are a great credit not only to herself, but to her proud family, community, and the State of Alabama; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That Ms. Martha Cato of Valley, Alabama, is most highly congratulated on her selection as the 2004 Expo Beauty Queen and, by copy of this resolution, she is extended sincere best wishes for every future happiness and success.
