Senator Cam Ward was elected to the Alabama Senate in the general election on November 2, 2010 after serving two terms in the Alabama House of Representatives.

He was born March 24, 1971. In 1993, he earned his B.S. Degree from Troy State University and in 1996 earned his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham.

He and his wife, Julie, reside in Alabaster and are the parents of one daughter, Riley.

Senator Ward is an attorney, specializing in economic development and is currently the Executive Director of the Industrial Development Board of Alabaster. He is also active in numerous community and civic activities.

He serves on the Board of Directors for Leadership Shelby County, The American Village, and is President of the Alabama Law Institute. Senator Ward is also a member of the Alabama Bar Association and State Executive Committee for the Alabama Republican Party. He and his wife are members of the First United Methodist Church of Alabaster.
