Senator Linda Coleman was elected to the Alabama Senate, November 7, 2006, having previously served one term in the Alabama House of Representatives District 60, and three terms on the Birmingham City Council. Senator Coleman received her Bachelor of Science degree from Alabama A&M University, and her Masters of Arts degree from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Professionally she is an Americans with Disabilities Compliance Officer. Senator Coleman serves on the board of directors for the Birmingham Area Chapter of the American Red Cross where where is Chairman of Volunteers, the Positive Maturity Board in Jefferson County and serves as State Director for the National Foundation for Women Legislators, Inc. She is a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church, Fairfield.
