Senator Holley is currently serving his third term in the Alabama Senate, after serving five terms in the Alabama House of Representatives. He was born in Coffee County, Alabama, on July 30, 1944, and received Bachelor's and Master's degrees from East Tennessee State University. He is married to the former Mary Harmon of Greeneville, Tennessee. They are the parents of two married sons: John, and wife Nicole, and Jason, and wife Julie. Senator Holley is a Republican and a member of the College Avenue Church of Christ in Enterprise. He is employed by Southeast Pharmaceuticals, Inc., in Elba, Alabama.
