23rd Legislative Day

 

The Senate convened its 23rd Legislative Day at 12:00 p.m., Monday, June 9th. Prayer was delivered by Dr. Willie D. McClung, Holt Street Memorial Baptist Church, Montgomery. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Senate Pages, Mr. Allen Brooks Blow, Davidson High School, Mobile, and Mr. Bryon McGowin Blow, Cranford Burns Middle School, Mobile.

Senate Bills 511-529 were introduced, given 1st Reading and referred to appropriate Senate Standing Committees.

The Senate passed Senate Bill 268.

Numerous bills, passed by the House of Representatives, were received, given 1st Reading and referred to appropriate Senate Standing Committees.

The Senate received Confirmations, numbered 56-106, from appropriate statutory appointing authority, and referred all of these to the Senate Confirmations Committee for consideration.

The Senate adjourned to meet again at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 10th.

24th Legislative Day
